Technique experimentation:Mokume Gané

The mokume gané is a 17th century Japanese metal forging technique used to decorate the forend of samurai swords.s.

The process consists of creating a block formed by different metal sheets without using solder in its manufacture, for this we use silver and copper. Metals bond together by diffusion; This effect occurs when they are subjected to a certain pressure and temperature within a reducing atmosphere, thus producing a slight superficial fusion that allows the union of the various layers of metal, obtaining a compact block that can be worked as if from an ingot it was.
