Bowie Rings
A personal commission came to our workshop from a client who wanted two rings with the symbol of David Bowie's famous blue and red lightning bolt.
After taking measurements and discussing the dimensions he had in mind for the rings, he gave us total freedom for the design.
We decided to make a design in sterling silver in which the lightning bolt would take up a large part of the ring. One option we considered was that the lightning would be silver but the idea of giving it the mythical blue and red colours was much more interesting and attractive.
We would give the colours with the technique of fire enamelling and for this part of the process we would have the exquisite work of the fire enamelling workshop of Tatiana Cano Castilla.
